More than 950,000 Ukrainian forced migrants have been living in Poland since the war with Russia escalated in 2022. How can they create a sense of home in an unfamiliar place, especially during the Christmas season? In today’s fast-paced world, our attention shifts to other global issues even as the war in Ukraine continues. However there are still people committed to helping us remember as Daria Seliakhova, a Ukrainian forced migrant, states: “Talk, talk, talk about that. That’s the most important part.”
